The SBI Clerk Exam is held annually to fill clerical positions in SBI’s branches. It is an online test conducted in two stages: the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination, followed by a Language Proficiency Test (if required).

The Junior Associate role primarily involves handling customer service operations, back-office tasks, and promoting financial products offered by SBI.

SBI Clerk Responsibilities

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Final-year students may apply, provided they can produce their graduation certificate before the final selection.

2. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years
  • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

3. Language Proficiency

  • Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state/UT they are applying for.

 

Exam Pattern

The SBI Clerk selection process includes two main stages:

1. Preliminary Examination

  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Subjects:
    • English Language
    • Numerical Ability
    • Reasoning Ability
  • Marking Scheme: 100 marks; negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Purpose: Screening test for the mains exam.

2. Main Examination

  • Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
  • Subjects:
    • General/Financial Awareness
    • General English
    • Quantitative Aptitude
    • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude
  • Marking Scheme: 200 marks; negative marking for wrong answers.

3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

  • Candidates not proficient in the local language must clear this test.
